For the third consecutive month, German rider Christian Ahlmann has earned World No. 1 in the Longines FEI Rankings as of the end of September. His impressive hold on the top spot is a result of consistent successful finishes in competitions around the world, including a pair of wins in the CSIO5* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Barcelona last month.
The gap between the first and second positions is close, however, with Simon Delestre of France trailing Ahlmann by just 46 points. Kent Farrington of the USA dropped into the third spot with 3,020 points accumulated over 91 total results.
USA’s Mclain Ward has maintained his position at World No. 4 with 2,949 points. He is closely trailed by Canada’s Eric Lamaze who has accumulated 2,814 points over 86 results. Penelope Leprevost of France fell one spot to World No. 7 but remains the leading lady rider in the world. Meanwhile, German rider Daniel Deusser rose one spot, from World No. 7 to 6 in the rankings with 2,786 points accumulated.
