It’s been just over six weeks since Swiss star Steve Guerdat publicly bid farewell to his champion mount Nino des Buissonnets in a retirement ceremony on home turf at CHI Geneva CSI5*. On Saturday, January 28, 2017, Nino took a second lap of honor in front of more adoring Swiss fans, at the Zurich CSI5*-W. And he wasn’t alone; Albführen’s Paille, the mare that memorably carried Guerdat to his first Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final victory in 2015, joined in on the ceremony. She was also recently retired.
