For the 2017 NoelleFloyd.com Best of Awards, five elite shows were nominated in contention for the “Horse Show of the Year” title.

Through majority vote, top honors went to the legendary Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament, home to the BMO Nations’ Cup and $3 Million CP International Grand Prix. The venue, held in high regard by athletes and spectators alike, is often celebrated for its deep roots in sporting tradition.

Of the 5,369 votes collected, Spruce Meadows acquired a total 1,883 to top the charts. The Longines FEI European Championships followed suit as runner-up (1,113), with the Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris (1,090), the Longines FEI World Cup Final Omaha (723), and the Palm Beach Masters (560) finishing in the respective order.

As one of three jewels in the Rolex Grand Slam, the CP ‘International’, presented by Rolex,  is a highlight event on the international sporting calendar. This year, Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt and LB Convall continued their Grand Slam journey with a victory in the featured class.
