Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts will replace Nations Cup team member Judy-Ann Melchior as disappointment arises for the talented lady rider. Judy-Ann’s Nations Cup mount, Aragon Z, will not be able to compete in the 2013 BMO Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows.

Instead, 19 year old Nicola Philippaerts, twin brother to last year’s CN International Grand Prix winner, Olivier Philippaerts, will compete as the fourth rider. Now both brothers will compete for Team Belgium in tomorrow’s BMO Nations Cup together along with Pieter Devos and Francois Mathy Jr. Nicola already has earned strong results this week in Calgary, finishing  6th in Wednesday’s $50,000 AKITA Drlling Cup and 5th in yesterday’s $50,000 ATCO Structures & Logistics Cup aboard Early Morning Mist.

We wish Judy’s mount Aragon Z a quick and speedy recovery and the very best of luck to Nicola Philippaerts for tomorrow’s BMO Nations Cup competition.
