he show at El Capricho started today and it is one of the nicest competition rings I have ever seen. Although it is overwhelmingly hot here, the competition has been great. The Canadian team horses all competed in a 1.40 warm up today and we all jumped clear with time faults in preparation for the nations cup on Friday.

Rush feels surprisingly fresh and is ready for two rounds of jumping on Friday. The ring here is as good as any in the world and the organizing committee is putting on a fantastic atmosphere for all the riders and horses. I couldn’t be more excited to compete in my first senior nations cup this week!
