Bertram Allen’s successful partner Quiet Easy 4 has been sold to Norway’s Johan Sebastian Gulliksen. Allen has ridden the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Quidam’s Rubin x Zapateado)for the past two years and during that time, racked up victories around the world.

Allen’s partnership with “Rory” began in 2015, when he was invited to try the horse by owner Emma Phillips of Quainton Stud of Great Britain. The speedy chestnut gelding formed a quick partnership with Allen, and they have since racked up an array of accomplishments, most recently finishing 1st this April, in the Global Champions League CSI5* competition at LGCT Mexico City, and winning the Audi Prize Grand Prix CSI5* at Indoor Brabant in March. Together, Allen and Quiet Easy racked up over a dozen FEI victories.

Quiet Easy will now be owned by the Gjelsten family of Norway, and will join the ranks of 22-year-old Gulliksen’s string of eight horses. Johan’s father, Geir Gulliksen, is an internationally ranked show jumper, and earlier this winter made a high profile horse purchase of his own when he acquired the breakout star Seringat from another Irish rider, Cian O’Connor.
