ell looks like the Brit boys, Robert Whitaker and Scott Brash, dominated in yesterdays classes hosted in Odense, Denmark and Helsinki, Finland.

Robert and his spirited stallion USA Today won the CSI3* 1,45 speed class at the JBK Horse Show. Germany’s Andreas Kreuzer with Baquita slipped into second place after being in the lead for almost the entire class. Third place went to one of my favorite young Dutch riders, Hendrik-Jan Schuttert with his lovely grey mare Cerona HS. 22 year old Hendrik became the first Dutchman to ever win the Longines King George V Gold Cup this summer at the famed Hickstead horse show.

Over in Helsinki, our Rider of the Week Mr. Scott Brash, beat the 48-horse field to start things off well with a win at the Finnish Horse show. This weekend marks the second FEI Rolex World Cup and Sunday will surely be an exciting, action-packed event as it was in Oslo. Scott won the Helsinki Trophy with his Belgian-bred Gelding Bon Ami. The Scotsman was only fractions faster then the Netherland’s Henk van de Pol who was riding his well-known Buckskin mare, Chesterfield.
