oriana Van Klapscheut will be ridden under the Spanish flag now….

Sure enough, Pilar Cordon will be celebrating an early Christmas, having just bought the lovely Coriana Van Klapscheut from Eric Lamaze (Torrey Pines Stables) and Artisan Farms.

It is great news that the lovely story will continue for Pilar Cordon and Coriana Van Klapscheut. The combination, who came together while Eric Lamaze enjoyed some time away from competition following the Spruce Meadows Masters, have enjoyed great success together since October.

Pilar and Coriana have enjoyed a strong bond since they started working together last year. Eric Lamaze and Belgium’s Gilbert de Roock, who runs GDR Sporthorses, suggested Pilar ride the feisty chestnut mare a few times last year and sure enough the pairing was a happy one, for Coriana proved to respond well to Pilar’s touch.

Coriana has been based with Pilar Cordon and her partner Gilbert de Roock in Wisbecq, Belgium and started the competitive European Indoor season with great results at such shows as the World Cup in Lyon and the World Cup in Geneva.

Coriana will now be ridden under the ownership of Pilar Cordon rather then GDR Sport horses but will maintain her training in Wisbecq under the expert eye of Gilbert himself. We can expect to see Pilar and Coriana in Mechelen next week for the last World Cup event of the 2012 season.

We wish them the very best going forward. There is clear mutual affection between Coriana and Pilar and we can defiantly expect great things from this combination.
