The reigning World Cup Finals Champion Daniel Deusser has withdrawn his World Cup winner Cornet d’Amour from the CSI5* World Cup event in Leipzig, Germany this coming weekend. According to sources in Belgium, the 12-year-old gelding incurred an injury within the stables of the Rolex event in Geneva, Switzerland last month. According to Deusser, the injury is not serious. The reigning German Champion is flatting the talented gelding but has yet to train over fences.

Deusser elected to withdraw from all competition in Leipzig. “I certainly have enough horses but you have to ask yourself if it makes sense to start a second horse in Leipzig. The level of the top riders and their horses is so high, that I have to make no illusions” said Deusser to reputable news source Equnews
