Well it seems that Brazil’s leading rider, Alvaro de Miranda dominated the Credit Suisse Grand Prix today in Geneva. The world’s leading Brazilian was riding his very own grey gelding AD Ashleigh Drossel Dan and put his weeks of success to good use with a super fast jump off. It was not a straight forward class with many horse and rider combinations accumulating faults as well as time. A surprising six riders racked up 1 time fault, including Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander flying Dutchman Jeroen Dubbeldam.

Martin Fuchs led the 7 horse jump off. The swiss jockey had to settle for sixth place with 8 faults overall. Unfortunately Spanish speed demon Pilar Lucrecia Cordon and Eric Lamaze’s Coriana van Klapscheut were also not so lucky when they were disqualified for jumping the wrong fence. Ooops!!!

Sure enough, Doda really put the pressure on with a clean and fast jump off. The one-and-only Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Carusso Ls La Silla attempted to catch the Brazilian’s time but to no avail. I think Katharina Offel was hoping for some extra birthday luck with her GCT winning mount Fidji Island but alas they had the first fence down. Happy Birthday nonetheless Kathi!!!

France’s Penelope Leprevost and Holland’s Harrie Smolders were all that remained. Naturally, Penelope put the pedal to the medal and took over the 2nd place. Harrie had a very confident round with the 8 year old chestnut stallion Emerald, a horse he bumped up today to tackle a bigger class and he couldn’t have been happier with the results. His clear round was good enough for third place.

Well done Doda, Penelope and Harrie!!! Keep it up!!
