unter Harrison’s Double H farm has invested in the very exciting partnership of Daniel Deusser and Cornet d’Amour. Originally owned by both Stephex Stables and Belgium’s Marc van Dijck, Cornet d’Amour drew a lot of attention last year at the 2012 Spruce Meadows Masters when the 10 year old Westphalian gelding proved to be only the horse to jump as double clear round in the BMO Nations Cup event. Daniel and Cornet were a crucial combination for Team Germany; with their double clear score contributing strongly to Team Germany’s win of the Nations Cup title.
Daniel has spoken fondly of his Nations Cup mount, referring to the sweet-natured gelding as “the perfect horse.” Having won the World Cup Grand Prix event in Wellington for the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival, Daniel and Cornet are certainly a combination to keep an eye out for this year.
Double H Farm confirmed that Mr Harrison decided to buy half of the talented mount to ensure that Daniel would be able to keep a top horse long enough to form a solid partnership. Quentin Judge spoke for Double H farms, saying, “Daniel has been a good friend of ours for a long time and we are all excited to see where he and Cornet can go together.”
Cornet d’Amour will now be partially owned by Stephex Stables and partially owned by Double H Farms.
