ugenie Angot and Old Chap Tame in Aachen this year
The lovely stallion, Old Chap Tame, will now be ridden by Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander. The Nations Cup mount of France’s Eugenie Angot made a number of strong performances including a contributing Nations Cup performance at Spruce Meadows this year for Team France, where they finished third.
Old Chap Tame competed in the 2013 Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen this year in addition to a number of international performances at such events as St. Gallen, finishing second in the St. Gallen Prize Grand Prix, as well as Chantilly, La Coruna and La Baule.
The stunning 11 year old French stallion by Carthago arrived at Stal Tops this month so we can be excited to expect the world’s former leading lady, Edwina Tops-Alexander, and Old Chap Tame to make their international debut in no time. Edwina Tops-Alexander has had another impressive summer season, finishing fifth overall in the 2013 Longines Global Champions Tour season, including a second place finish in Wiesbaden earlier in the year.
The World’s former leading lady rider currently stands fifth on the 2013 Longines World Cup Western European League after top placements in Oslo, Helsinki, Verona and Stuttgart. The two-time Olympian will be in Maastricht this week with some new horses and we can only hope the new combination will debut soon.
We wish the new combination the best of luck as we look to a new exciting year in 2014.
