France head to Furusiyya Nations Cup Finals in Spain as leaders of Division 1…

here was all sorts of history in the making today, as the list of teams qualified from Europe Division 1 for the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final is now decided.  The  leader-board tonight shows;

  1. France
  2. Netherlands
  3. Germany
  4. Sweden
  5. Belgium
  6. Great Britain
  7. Spain

These are the top-seven qualifying spots in that order while Switzerland, Ireland and Ukraine are outside the qualification zone. France have picked up a total of 345 point; the same amount of points as the Netherlands, who sits in second place overall. Third place belongs to Germany on 305 points. To the final in Barcelona these three top teams get company by Sweden, Belgium, Great Britain and Spain from Europe Division 1.

Switzerland and Ireland will have to stay at home this season. Ireland will have to wait for their faith to be sealed, as all hangs on the outcome of the final in Barcelona. Ukraine has been relegated to Europe Division 2 for next year after ending the 2014 season at bottom of the pool.
