Germany’s Marco Kutscher has sustained a leg injury, which will keep him from riding over the next month. Having strained an upper thigh muscle, that was previously weakened, during the Grand Prix in Hamburg, Marco has elected to take some time away from competition after doctors advise to rest the strain.

So Marco’s team of young horses as well as his top international groom Terri Fitton, are here in Wiesbaden this week for the third leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour but Sweden’s Hendrik von Eckermann will be riding the horses in competition instead. These horses include Calado 2, a 12 year old bay Holsteiner gelding as well as a sister of Philipp Weishaput’s previous stallion Catoki, by the name of Caprice. Hendrik will compete these horses this week in Wiesbaden, while Marco takes some time off to rest the muscle strain.

Hendrik will be representing Sweden this weekend, along with Rolf-Goran Bengtsson and we look forward to seeing both Calado and Caprice in the ring, as they are both new additions to the stable of Ludger Beerbaum, Marco Kutscher, Hendrik von Eckermann and Philipp Weishaupt.
