enis finished 2nd in the 2013 Doha CSI5* Grand Prix at Al Shaqab, winning €130,000 aboard his exciting stallion All Star 5
Ireland’s leading Irish rider, Denis Lynch and Australia’s 2012 Olympic team member Julia Hargreaves will be moving from Germany to the Netherlands to base themselves at Stal Tops. Denis, who finished second this past weekend in Doha, Qatar in the much-anticipated CSI5* Grand Prix hosted at the international venue Al Shaqab, has certainly started the 2013 season well with a second place finish in the World Cup in Leipzig, Germany with Abbervail as well as a win riding Night Train in Hong Kong for the Longines Masters event hosted by EEM.
Denis, who is the number one ranked Irish rider at the moment, stands in 17th position worldwide. Julia Hargreaves, who also trains with Denis, will accompany the talented Irishman to Stal Tops to base herself in Valkenswaard, Holland for the remainder for the foreseeable future. The Australian-beauty made last year’s London Olympic games her Olympic debut for Australia aboard her lovely gelding Vedor.
The talented young jockey has based herself and her business, Copabella Sporthorses, in Germany for sometime now but is excited at the prospect at working amongst world-renowned rider and trainer Jan Tops. Stal Tops often finds itself filled with plenty of talent, both in riders and in horses, so it comes as no surprise that both Denis Lynch and Julia Hargreaves will base themselves on the Belgian and Dutch border in Valkenswaard at Stal Tops.
We’re very excited to keep an eye on both these talented jockey’s as we get closer to the start of the outdoor season and the much-anticipated beginning of the 2013 Global Champions Tour.
