Sad news out of Wellington this Thursday, February 15, as it’s been reported that World No. 1 Kent Farrington suffered a severe leg injury after a fall while competing during Week 6 of the 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival.

Farrington was riding Evergate Stable LLC’s 12-year-old Westphalian gelding Lucifer V in the $2,000 1.30m jumper class sponsored by Rushy Marsh Farm held in the Mogavero ring at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center where he sustained an injury to his lower right leg and was then transported via ambulance to the Wellington Regional Medical Center.

Our thoughts go out to Farrington for a safe and speedy recovery.

More to follow as we await further updates on his condition.
