Mathieu Billot on Top in €70,100 Grand Prix de la Ville de Bourg en Bresse CSI4*

Mathieu Billot of France won the finale class of Bourg En Bresse CSI4* on Sunday, May 22nd, winning the €70,100 Grand Prix de la Ville de Bourg en Bresse with Shiva D’Amaury.

Large crowds turned out to this show located in Bourg En Bresse, France, just north of Lyon near the French-Swiss border.

The grand prix attracted over 40 starters, with eight pairs moving on to the jumpoff, and seven of those going double clear. Billot had plenty of company from his countryment in the jumpoff round, and it was Frenchman Bernard Brian Chevalier with Qdaillac Du Heup who placed 2nd behind him. Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts was 3rd aboar Zilverstar T.

Billot earned his way to a €23,100 prize check aboard Monsieur Serge Batailler’s 10-year-old Selle Francis stallion (For Pleasure x Lando) with a jumpoff time of 38.97 seconds to Brian Chevalier’s 39.72.
