Orient Express Hdc DELAVEAU Patrice

After the French victory last Friday in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup it was again the French anthem that sounded today after the Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam for Patrice Delaveau. He was faster than the other eleven jump-off competitors with Oriënt Express HDC riding a very fast faultless jump-off in only 38.06. Delaveau was almost a second faster than German Daniel Deusser who came second with Cornet d´Amour. Paul Eastermann was third with Castlefield Eclipse. The best Dutchman was Marc Houtzager who rode Sterrehofs Opium to a fifth place.

“Oriënt Express HDC was in great shape and jumped well and fast. This was his first Grand Prix since a long time and I´m very happy with the outcome” said Delaveau. Speaking for Delaveau and the French team, French chef d´Equipe Philippe Guerdat expressed appreciation for the competition´s organisation and the course designer.

This afternoon the Irish rider Denis Lynch together with his horse Coulisa fell at the second last obstacle during the Grand Prix at CHIO Rotterdam. The horse has been transported to an equine clinic and will be further diagnosed and treated there. The rider is not injured. The competition restarted after a 10 minutes pause.
