The 21-year-old Irish Sport Horse stallion Flexible was retired prior to the $100,000 Grand Prix of Del Mar at the Del Mar National Horse Show in California, USA on May 6, 2017. Flexible and his rider Rich Fellers were honored in a moving ceremony in front of a packed house as they took their final tour around a competition ring, and left the arena draped in roses and a ceremonial cooler — a fitting farewell for a true champion. Read about how Flexible’s owners Harry and Mollie Chapman gave Fellers ownership of Flexible so that he can live out the rest of his days at the Fellers’ family farm in Oregon.
