With less than a full season under the hands of Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer, Tarioso Manciais has sold to American rider Katie Dinan. Schwizer first partnered with the 9-year-old, Selle Francais gelding (Arioso du Theillet x First Bride) in January and recorded their first, and only, win in a 1.45m class at Oliva CSI2*. The pair went on to compete at LGCT Shanghai CSI5*, where they placed 14th in the grand prix.

French rider Adelaide Lautie developed Tarioso Manciais through the FEI Young Horse ranks in the 2014 season before stepping up to the 1.40m to 1.55m ranking classes in 2015.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Dinan is coming off a big July, during which she competed on the Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup competition at Hickstead CSIO5*, riding her major acquisition from last year, Dougie Douglas (Ard VDL Douglas x High Roller). Dinan recorded four faults over the course of two rounds as Team USA finished the competition tied for 4th place.

The recent Harvard graduate trains with Switzerland’s Beat Mandli and is currently based in Europe. To view her full FEI results, see here.
