Reigning Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat of Switzerland won the CSI5* 1.45 meter with Sidney VIIII.  Of his performance, Steve said “It wasn’t as bad as yesterday but the big day will be tomorrow.” He added “I’m feeling good though and getting to know the place.” Steve said that he finds the courses Bob Ellis designs are particularly hard and said “in every show, the Grand Prix is the most difficult class”.

Luciana Diniz riding Upper Star placed second last Wednesday at the CSI5* Big tour, however only 17 this time. She said “Bob Ellis is a great course designer and it makes a big difference riding such a well designed course. However at the same time he did not make it easy for us, since today the sharp S-shaped bends were extremely challenging. In any case I am looking forward to riding tomorrow, and I love riding in Doha. This is my third time here and my second time at CHI AL SHAQAB”
