Big entry lists and a full day of jumping greeted riders on the second day of CSI2* Aachen, held in the Deutsche Bank Stadium on the historic CHIO Aachen, Germany showgrounds.

It was Robbert Ehrens of Holland who took the day’s top win, beating out 72 others in the CSI2* 1.40m aboard Dhr. M. Moors and his own Hisa. The 9-year-old, Belgian bred mare (Indoctro x Parco) was fastest over the one-round course, coming in at 68.40 seconds over the 2nd placed finisher’s time of 68.71 seconds.

That second place went to yesterday’s winner Darragh Kenny of Ireland, who today rode Global Van T Braunerthof to reserve honors, continuing his strong showing thus far at CSI Aachen. In 3rd place was Tom Martens of Holland with Ebaja Oh.

Another rider on top of his game at CSI Aachen is Egypt’s Abdel Said, who has dominated the CSI Young Horse classes this week. He picked up his second win on Friday with Excellent B over a 1.30m track, putting him in prime position for Sunday’s Young Horse Final.

This inagural edition of the CSI Aachen continues through the weekend, with organizers welcoming spectators free of charge, and if you’re not in the Aachen, Germany, area, providing a livestream of all classes from this link. Sunday concludes with the Big Tour Grand Prix.
