It should come as no surprise that Scott Brash maintained his Longines FEI World Number One ranking through the month of August. For the 21st Non-Consecutive month, Brash is atop the Longines World Rankings. The updated World Ranking list was released today, revealing that Great Britain’s Brash still holds a lead of 165 points at the top of the list.

However, with Germany’s Daniel Deusser reclaiming the World No. 2 spot, and several riders making significant jumps back into the top ten in the World, as it ever is, no lead is certain from month to month.

Deusser climbed from No. 4 to 2, and Germany’s Ludgar Beerbaum has moved up three placed to No. 4. Entering the World Top Ten this month is Gregory Wathelet in No. 10, and Simone Delestre in No. 8.

Steve Guerdat’s provisional FEI suspension with Nino des Buissonnets hurt his ranking, as he fell from No. 3 to 5. And despite his recent European Team Gold medal, the Netherland’s Maikel van der Vleuten now lies just outside of the Top Ten, at No. 12.
