The Official Horse show of the British Horse Society

Well despite the rain and mud, everyone came out dressed to impress during London’s legendary week in Hickstead. The Longines Royal International Horse show is the ideal opportunity for ladies from all over the country to come and show off their hats on the famous ‘Ladies day’ in Hickstead. The event takes place on the Saturday of the horse show and the ladies never disappoint.

I was really intrigued by the overall show style at Hickstead. It was a mix of eccentric, colloquial and traditionally English with large hats and lots of plaid. I loved to see the gloves and the traditional plaid being sported by everyone from the spectators to the stewards. Overall the feeling was very traditional and it suited the backdrop of Hickstead.

Forget the shoulder bags and handbags, dogs (both big and small) were defiantly the accessory of choice at this show…..
