Steve Guerdat’s 2015 FEI World Cup Champion Mount Sidelined by Injury

WC-1

Albfuehren’s Paille, the 12-year-old Selle Francis mare by Kannan who was ridden by Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat to the FEI World Cup Jumping Finals championship this April in Las Vegas, Nevada, has sustained a second tendon injury that will require several months of rest and recovery.

The mare hadn’t seen a competition ring since the April finals, was brought back to work with performances at Samorin CSI4* and Kiel CSI3* in September after overcoming a minor tendon strain. But it’s now been announced that she’s suffered a second tendon problem, which will sideline her throughout the remainder of the indoors season.

Guerdat hopes to bring Albfuehren’s Paille back to top form in 2016.
