Team Germany remains in Furusiyya Nations Cup Division 1 for coming season…

After months of speculation the FEI has announced that Germany will get to compete in Division 1 of the 2014 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup. Team German withdrew from competition in St. Gallen, Switzerland last year due to poor conditions and therefore Germany was originally not qualified for this years Furusiyya Nations Cup Division 1 League.

The German Chef d’Equipe, Otto Becker, told Reiterrevue.de that he was happy that the team finally knows the verdict.“Now we finally know and are able to go into the detailed planning towards World Equestrian Games” said Otto.

“Rome and Rotterdam, we had already chosen for the preparation of our championship team to the World Cup. Hickstead and Dublin are close in time to the World Cup, so we will send there probably other good teams on the grid. Our goal is clear in any event, we want to participate again this year, “said Becker.

Germany will be able to collect points in Rome (ITA), Rotterdam (NED), Hickstead (GBR) and Dublin (IRL) this season in the hopes of qualifying for the Furusiyya Nations Cup final in Barcelona, Spain this coming October. The other countries that will join Germany in Europe Division 1 are; Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, The Netherlands and Ukraine.
