Ireland’s Denis Lynch stole the show at CSI4* Braunschweig, Germany this weekend, earning a hat trick following his victory in the CSI4* 1.55 Grand Prix aboard his long time partner Abbervail van het Dingeshof. Lynch won no less than three consecutive international classes at the German venue on the same horse over a period of two days.

Today Lynch won a Volkswagen Tiguan car as first prize in the Grand Prix after showing a blistering turn of speed in the 12 horse jump-off. Despite a heart-stopping hesitation in direction by Abbervail van het Dingeshof halfway through the final round, the duo still managed to outpace their nearest challengers, Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann and For Sale by just over a second. Third place went to home rider Toni Hassmann on Crocant.

Lynch and Abbervail won Friday night’s Grand Prix Qualifier, then followed up with another victory in Saturday’s Two-Round feature class before completing the hat trick with Sunday’s Grand Prix win.
