Unfortunate news for Dutch Olympian Vincent Voorn and his lovely mount Audi’s Alpapillon Armanie. The horse which the Dutch rider attended the 2008 Beijing Olympics with, underwent colic surgery Sunday night.
The fifteen-year old Armani was last seen at the French show Caen, in October. “He was there for a few smaller tests”, said Vincent. “But I didn’t want to do too much with him, I decided not to drive to the big prize with him.”
For Armani this is already the second colic surgery. His first, occurred in 2009. We are wishing the Beijing Olympian a quick and full recovery and our thoughts are with Vincent and the rest of his team.
