ell in addition to Steve’s big win tonight. Ben Maher started things off for the 5*star part of Lyon this morning, winning the Prix Ville de Lyon with his Dutch mare Vadeline. It was an early start at 8:30 am so bravo Ben because I know everyone was alittle less then enthusiastic to start so early after arriving on Thursday. Shane Breen was second with his Irish sport horse Cos I Can.

Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer won the second class of the day with Verdi III. At 11:00 am we saw 45 riders compete for the Prix French Tour EADS title but alas it was the swiss Olympian who won up against 12 clean riders. The 10 year old Dutch gelding proved to be just a bit cleaner and faster then Italy’s Emanuele Guadiano and Cocoshynsky.
