Erynn Ballard is not new to the sport of show jumping. A respected hunter and jumper rider with a thriving program, she’s now set her sights on something else: a team gold at the World Equestrian Games. Just a few years ago, Erynn made a resolution to herself to make it to the top level in the sport, and she’s definitely one to stick to her word.
“I said to him [Darkos Promise] ‘you’ve never jumped this big, and neither have I – but good luck to us both.’”
Not only is Erynn making her WEG debut - she's also riding a relatively new horse and riding first in line for her team. You could say Erynn is experiencing a world of ‘firsts,’ but you wouldn’t know that by talking to her - the Canadian rider oozes calm, cool confidence and a true passion for her horses, her team, and her sport. For Erynn, it’s all about enjoying the ride.
