And the Top Four are….
After an incredible two rounds of tense and difficult competition, the final four are;
- Patrice Delaveau (FRA) and Orient Express HDC
- Beezie Madden (USA) and Cortes C
- Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE) and Casall ASK
- Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED) and Zenith SFN
In what can only be described as a tremendous atmosphere here at the D’Ornano Stadium, Delaveau was truly lifted by the thousands of screaming French fans for both his first round and second round today with Orient Express HDC. The passion and support from the French fans gave all the motivation a rider could ever ask for. Each French fan rode every stride with the quiet Frenchman, who could hear the sighs and shouts of the fans over every single fence today. It clearly worked, for Delaveau has taken over the lead from Bengtsson after a fault for the Swede. Dubbeldam and Madden both jumped clear in the second round but Beezie and Cortes C suffered a fault in the first round. The only combinations to jump both rounds today clear were Jeroen Dubbeldam and Zenith SFN as well as the new leader, Patrice Delaveau and Orient Express HDC.
