In her first trip to the Thunderbird Showpark in British Columbia, Canada, 19-year-old U.S rider Eve Jobs secured a 1st place victory in the $100,000 CSI3* Reliable Rentals Grand Prix on Sunday, August 20, 2017.

On Day 5 of the Fort Summer Classic, a field of 39 horse and rider combinations took to the grass arena to compete for the top prize. On the shortened track, Jobs piloted the 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Venue D’Fees Des Hazalles (President x Alcatraz) to a leading jump-off round, winning the lump sum of the prized purse.

The past few months have been filled with career firsts for the up-and-coming rider. In May of 2017, Jobs won her first grand prix aboard the 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Charleville (Quasimodo Z x Lancelot) in the $130,000 CSI3* competition at the Split Rock Jumping Tour in Lexington, KY. One month later, she went on to pilot Charleville to her first CSI4* win in the 1.45 class at The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show CSI4* in Tattenhall, Great Britain.

In the final standings for the grand prix, the USA dominated the top six placings, with Sayre Happy and the nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare Dolinn (Cardento x Lux) finishing in 2nd place. Zazou Hoffman and the 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare W Zermie 13 (Rubert R x Voltaire) finished in 3rd place to close out the podium standings.

Earlier on in the year, Hoffman captured her first grand prix win aboard Zermie in the $25,000 SmartPak Open Prix at HITS Coachella in California, USA. Five months later on Thursday, July 6, she piloted Zermie to her first CSI5* win in the AON Cup 1.50m competition at the Spruce Meadows show grounds in Alberta, Canada.
