It was France’s leading World-ranked rider Patrice Delaveau who was awarded the 2014 Leading rider Award for the 2014 Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid. After finishing fifth in Saturday’s Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Madrid (ESP) aboard Carinjo HDC, Patrice then went on to finish second in Sunday’s CSI5* 1.55 Copa Del Rey – Prize of El Corte Ingles with the lovely Orient Express HDC. The first day of competition saw Patrice and Carinjo HDC finish in 6th place in the CSI5* 1.55 Massimo Dutti Prix. Needless to say the top-ranking French rider, currently ranked 6th in the world, had a success second leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour season.
