It was France’s World Equestrian Games Silver medalist who won the first CSI5* event of the inaugural Longines Los Angeles Masters, winning the 1.45 speed class Los Angeles Times Trophy with Carinjo HDC. The French rider is a speed specialist, and riding the exuberant 12 year old mare Ornella Mail HDC, Patrice landed the winning time of the day at 56.61 seconds, adding just one more Masters Grand Slam victory to his long list.

Ireland’s Darragh Kenny continued his excellent form from this season to finish second on the 8 year old Chin Quidam VDL in a time of 59.11 seconds while third place went to the Netherland’s Jur Vrieling, World Equestrian Games Team Gold Medalist, riding Zavall VDL.
