Olympic silver medalist Peder Fredricson of Sweden tacked up his Rio partner H&M All In to win the Friday, June 17, 2017 feature class at CSI5* Treffen, Austria. It was the first ranking class of the weekend at the Glock Horse Performance Center, and 41 entries came to the ring to compete for those points.

In the €93,000 Gaston Glock’s Championat, a two-round, 1.50m competition, no fewer than 15 duos cleared the 13 obstacles and 16 jumps penalty-free in the first round. But because only the fastest twelve then passed to the deciding round, unfortunately Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Romain Duguet and Daniel Deusser then had to spectate.

“It already felt right with All In during the first round, and everything worked out well for us in the second round too. I feel very comfortable here. It’s an excellent tournament with great sports and no-one stays hungry here either, that’s for sure. Now I’m very pleased, most of all with my horse. He had a six-month break after Rio and is fully back now. On Sunday in the GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix, I will once more give everything and then maybe we’ll see each other again here!”

In the second round, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli of Brazil set off pretty smartly with Celena VDL and set the initial benchmark with a penalty-free 45.95 seconds. Ultimately this result was enough for third place. Achieving a faster round was German’y Marcus Ehning, in the saddle on BWP gelding Gin Chin van het Lindenhof, who was pleased to accept the trophy for second place.
