Philippaerts’ Cabrio van de Heffinck to be sold in Online Auction…

Through the auction platform HOPA.be the well known stallion Cabrio van de Heffinck is to be sold at auction. Olivier Philippaerts and Cabrio van de Heffinck were the memorable winners of the 2012 $1 Million CN International Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows. Cabrio van de Heffinck carried Philippaerts into history, making the Belgian jockey the youngest rider to ever win the highly prestigious Spruce Meadows Grand Prix.

Belgium’s Olivier Philippaerts has expressed that he hopes the horse will be secured for him to remain riding the stallion. The 12 year old Holsteiner stallion has been owned by Stoeterij Dorperheide L Philippaerts Van de Heffinck since 2011. The starting asking price will be 50 000-euro asking price. The stallion will remain online for auction until January 18th, 2015. The pair will not be separated during this time out of necessity since Olivier hopes to find a bidder to secure the stallion for him.

Also included in this auction, is the two-year-old stallion Melvin DC (Elvis Ter Putte). Who last month, won the National Free Jump Contest in Wambeek, Belgium and was sold to the stables of Gilbert de Roock.
